Every week on The Echo Sport Podcast, Éamonn Murphy and our GAA experts Denis Hurley and Barry O’Mahony discuss the talking points in Gaelic games in Cork.
The hurlers and footballers finally got their league campaigns up and running with vital wins over the weekend.
A late Maurice Shanley goal may have saved the footballers' season while Pat Ryan's hurlers impressed for a while against Waterford but ended up holding on in the late stages on Sunday.
John Cleary's Rebels now host Kildare in the Páirc and will be hoping to turn their dramatic escape to victory on the road into badly needed momentum. Relegation is still a threat so there's still no room for manoeuvre from here until championship.
Jack O'Connor was in blistering form for the hurlers but they still need to perform with more consistency in games.
