CORK got their second win in the Very Camogie Division 1 League on Saturday with a hard-fought win over Waterford.
In a battle, from start to finish at the SETU Arena in Waterford, the Rebels managed to come out on top by 1-6 to 0-6.
The all-important goal came after 10 minutes when Orlaith Cahalane found the net as they now have two home games after two tough away ties.
As well as praising his players afterwards Cork manager Ger Manley had a special mention for St Finbarr’s Pa Finn.
Pa was involved in Gaelic games all his life and Ger paid tribute to him for the work he did with camogie over the years.
“We lost a good man in Pa Finn last week, a good camogie man,” said Ger.
“I think it’s people like him who helped make camogie what it is now. We have others involved as well like Marian McCarthy but I would like to pay tribute to Pa for all his work."

One of the players who knew all about the battle was Cork defender Meabh Cahalane. It was a game dominated by defences and it showed in the second half in particular when both sides only scored a point.
“We knew that we were going to come down to Waterford here for a tough battle and you know, they challenged us,” said Meabh.
“There were times, especially when putting us under pressure there for scores when it was a great battle until the end. I'm sure we'll be meeting them again and it'll be another battle.
"Waterford made us work hard there from the start and it's good to be getting those games at this time of year. It'll really benefit us as the year goes on.
“Amy Lee made a few great saves there at the end. She read them well, but I felt we were composed there in the last five minutes. They probably could have had a few chances there to get points but we held our composure.
“Also we probably just didn't get shots off ourselves and hopefully that's something we'll learn from before our next game in two weeks.
“We'll go back to the drawing board in training on Wednesday night, and learn from what we missed and didn’t do well today and hopefully put right against Tipperary."
