COBH Ramblers will begin their 2024 League of Ireland Men’s First Division campaign with a trip to Munster rivals Treaty United on Friday, February 16, while their first Cork derby under Gary Hunt is set for April 5 in Turner’s Cross.
Their first home game that is fixed to be played at St Colman’s Park is on April 1, as the Rams host Longford Town, but the club have confirmed that works could take up to five games, which means their first St Colman’s fixture may be Bray Wanderers on May 3.
The second of their four Cork derbies will be in St Colman’s Park on May 10, while they face the last of three Munster opponents in Kerry FC, away at Mounthawk Park on March 15.
The Rams’ face Athlone Town on the second day of the season, and though a home fixture – it will be played in Turner’s Cross due to St Colman’s Park’s redevelopment work.

Cobh’s home clashes on match week 4 and 6 against Finn Harps and UCD respectively will be played at The Cross, though their games on April 1 versus Longford and April 12 against Wexford could potentially be moved to the city.
Ramblers’ third Cork derby will be back at The Cross on June 13, and the final First Division derby between the two is set for August 23 in Cobh.
The Rams will face 2023 playoff opponents Wexford FC on the third day of the season at Ferrycarrig Park on March 1, while their first trip to the UCD bowl to face the recently relegated Dublin outfit takes place May 6.
Their first dreaded trip to Ballybofey is on April 19, while their second game away to Finn Harps will be August 30.
Rams’ final away game sees them travel to Bishopsgate to face Longford Town on the penultimate match week, on Saturday, October 12 at 7.30pm.
Hunt’s side will conclude their league season by hosting Bray Wanderers on October 18, and depending on how the season pans out, they could play their first playoff semi-final on Thursday, October 24, with the second leg set for the following Monday – October 28.

Last season the Rams also opened their season with a trip to a Munster rival, facing league debutants Kerry under Shane Keegan, for the beginning of the manager’s one and only full season in charge.
Ramblers opened the scoring moments before the half-time whistle, with academy graduate Tiernan O’Brien grabbing his first goal for the club, and the first ever League of Ireland goal at Mounthawk Park.
Kerry put up a strong fight, but with 17 minutes to go, new Cork City signing Jack Doherty scored a beauty of a free kick, starting Cobh’s 2023 campaign with a win.
