Massive weekend for senior camogie teams as quarter finals due to the played

Sarsfields' Rachael Roche is tackled by Enniskeane's Daire O'Brien, during their SE Systems Senior Camogie Championship clash, at Castle Road.
SE Systems Senior Championship Qtr. finals: Sunday, Castle Road: Inniscarra V Sarsfields 12 noon; Cloughduv V St Finbarr's 3pm; Erins Own GAA: Éire Óg V St Catherine's 3.30pm; Valley Rovers, Brinny: Seandún V Courcey Rovers 4.45pm
THE SE Systems senior championship quarter finals are down for this Sunday at three separate venues.
With St Finbarr's, Sarsfields, Seandún and Éire Óg all topping their groups they were paired against the second placed teams and in the case of Courcey Rovers the third best placed.
Inniscarra and Sarsfields head out first at 12 noon in Castle Road.
Inniscarra undoubtedly are in a period of transition having been the top team in Cork from 2016 to 2018 and losing out in the finals of 2019 to 2021, six finals in a row.
I don’t envisage them reaching the last four this time around.

Katie O’Mahony, just back after a cruciate injury, isn’t going to be at full match pace for a while and her loss along with their most ardent scorer of recent years Joanne Casey is a loss I feel they won’t overcome against a Sars outfit that will have the greater spread of stylish hurlers and an impressive attacking division.
Sars had just two points to spare against Inniscarra in the semi-final last year, but Casey’s loss is too much.
St Finbarr's are hot favourites for the title with 121 scores for and just 44 against.
They’re the strongest Cork club side in a long while and on form are capable of going far beyond a county title.
But games aren’t won on paper. They’ll meet a Cloughduv side that you have to admire, for me work rate is everything and they are a top-notch side in that regard.
It’s unfortunate for them that they’ve drawn the Barrs. They reached the quarter-finals last year and lost narrowly to Inniscarra in added time.
A step further this year would have been just reward but it’s difficult to see past the Barrs here.
St Catherine's have had two hard fought and well won wins over Killeagh and Glen Rovers which saw them finish second to the Barrs in Group A and that without the injured Fiona Neville, a key player in their wheel.
Aoife Hurley is having a great season, playing a leader’s role when games are in the balance and Orla Cotter's return has added a spring in their step.

Éire Óg have really produced over the last couple of seasons. They beat St Catherine's in the group stage last year by 0-14 to 1-5.
A close game here with a slight nod to St Catherine's.
Extra time, extra, extra time an ’45s will decide the outcome on the day for the quarter finals and semi-finals.
Courcey Rovers will need to step up on their performance against Cloughduv last weekend against Seandún.
But how will Seandún perform having had just one game to date.
They will get stronger if they progress. Rovers have four games behind them.
They’ll need to being their ‘A’ game to the table.
