Veteran Irish indie rockers The Coronas have become the latest act to join what is already becoming a mouth watering line up for next summer’s Live at the Marquee series of gigs.

No strangers to the Marquee having sold out the venue on numerous previous occasions, the band will take to the stage of the Docklands venue on Saturday, June 26.

Formed in 2003, The Coronas emerged at a time when bands still sold CDs from the back of vans and at merchandise desks.

Since then, Danny, guitarist Knoxy, and drummer Conor have navigated an industry transformed almost beyond recognition, while steadily building an audience at home and internationally.

More than 20 years and seven studio albums later, they are still writing songs and performing together to audiences around the world.

The Cork gig will celebrate the Dublin bands more than two decades of recording and releasing albums and singles, and playing sold out venues at home and abroad.

Other acts set to play the Marquee next year include Paul Heaton (support from the Lightning Seeds), Nile Rogers & Chic, and Toto.
