Halloween tours return to Youghal clock tower

Experience the darker side of Youghal's history this Halloween with the return of Shadows of the Clock, a unique series of after-dark tours at the historic Clock Gate Tower.

This Halloween, visitors will experience the darker side of Youghal’s history with the return of ‘Shadows of the Clock’, a series of after-dark tours at the seaside town’s historic Clock Gate Tower.

For centuries, the tower has played a prominent role in Youghal. Originally serving as part of the town’s fortifications and later operating as a prison, the building holds many stories of punishment, unrest, and intrigue.

The event is being delivered by Living Youghal, on behalf of Cork County Council, as part of ongoing efforts to showcase the East Cork town’s unique heritage and to enhance its cultural tourism offering.

Tours will take place at 6pm and 7pm on October 23, 24, 29, 30 and 31, with an additional adult-only tour running at 8pm on October 29, 30, and 31.

Tours are strictly limited and advance booking is essential.

Tickets can be booked online through the Living Youghal website https://livingyoughal.ie.
