Cork man charged with receiving money for work not done remanded in custody 

A man charged with receiving payments from two elderly people for work that was never done was remanded in custody until September 15.

Judge David Waters remanded Jerry O’Sullivan, aged 43, of 7 Hazelwood Grove, Kinsale Road, Cork, in continuing custody at Cork District Court.

The defendant is charged that on November 10, 2025, at Sandymount Avenue, Glasheen, Cork, he was allegedly given €50 to clean a gutter but did not do any work. 

In a similar charge related to December 19, 2025, at Panorama Terrace, Lower Sunday’s Well, Cork, he was allegedly given €300 to carry out roof repair and left without doing any work.

Judge David Waters remanded him in custody until September 15 to allow time for directions from the Director of Public Prosecutions.
