A 30th anniversary production of Enda Walsh’s ground-breaking play Disco Pigs, is one of the highlights of a packed autumn season programme unveiled by The Everyman in Cork.

The production is part of the EVERYMAN MADE programme of in house productions.

For the first time the play, which helped to launch the careers of writer Enda Walsh, along with actors Cillian Murphy and Eileen Walsh when it premiered in Cork in 1996, will be directed by Enda Walsh himself.

The autumn season will open with Judy — End of the Rainbow , an award winning play by Peter Quilter, featuring some of Judy Garland’s timeless hits including Over the Rainbow, The Man That Got Away, and When You’re Smiling.

The line-up will also include Black Is The Color Of My Voice, a play inspired by the life of Nina Simone and features live performances of many of her most iconic songs.

Fresh from a run in London’s West End Myra’s Story, which proved to be a hit at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, tells a moving tale of a woman sleeping rough on the streets of Dublin.

On a lighter note the autumn season will also feature a host of Irish and international comedy and variety acts including Kyla Cobbler, Jarlath Regan, Mr Pussy, Neil Delamere, David Nihill, Andrew Ryan, Emma Doran, Keith Barry, Madison Cawley, and Fin Taylor.

The Everyman will also play host to a number of festivals in the coming months, including the Guinness Cork Jazz Festival, the Cork International Film Festival, and Priosma Queer Film Festival.
