The 10th annual Kinsale Arts Weekend festival will kick off this weekend, with a packed programme featuring more than 50 events spanning music, theatre, and visual art.
The four-day event, taking place from July 9-12, will see visitors and locals enjoy a range of events and exhibitions across several venues in Kinsale, with a number of stand-out events set to take place across the weekend.
Highlights include Ghostis: Celebrating the Origins of Welcome, which is a live panel discussion curated by artist and writer Jennie Moran, taking place at the Methodist Church on Friday from 6pm.
The event will explore the deep customs, rituals, and philosophies of hospitality across global cultures through personal stories, food, and community.
The Lament for Art O’Leary exhibition will then take at the Joseph Walsh Studio on Saturday and audiences can also look forward to Rí Rá Mná: a live podcast, taking place on Friday from 12.30pm at The Post House Café, and a short film screening of Trína Súile, taking place from 1pm at the Carmelite Friary on Sunday.
