A number of local organisations are to benefit from funding under the local enhancement programme (LEP).
Ballyphehane Togher Community Development project is to receive €15,000 and Togher Community Association will receive €4,686.15 as part of the funding.
Togher Family Centre is also named as a recipient and is set to receive €8,000, with Togher Tidy Towns being allocated €799. Cork Barrack Street Band CLG is to receive €1,500.
These grants will support volunteers, community groups, tidy towns, youth organisations, charities, disability services, mental health supports, LGBTQ+ organisations, cultural groups and many more who make such a positive difference across our communities every day.
The LEP is a significant initiative aimed at supporting community groups and organisations, particularly those serving disadvantaged areas.
The programme focuses on capital supports essential for small community groups and organisations, including necessary repairs and improvements to facilities, purchase of equipment, and enhancing community participation.
The LEP aims to improve and enhance community facilities for all, ensuring local priorities are met and strengthened.
