Two men have been charged in relation to an incident where a Garda was injured after a patrol car was rammed in Glanmire outside Cork. 

The incident happened in an industrial estate in Glanmire on Monday at around 2.20pm. 

A female garda was injured during the incident and taken to Cork University Hospital for treatment. Her injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

No other gardaí were reported injured.

Two men, aged in their 20s and late teens, have been charged and are due to appear before Cork District Court on Tuesday. 

"Investigations are ongoing," a garda spokesperson said.
