A man accused of smashing the wing mirrors of cars was arrested and brought before Cork District Court where gardaí objected to bail.
Ahmed Jama, aged 33, of no fixed address in Cork city faces charges that all relate to Tuesday, June 16.
He is charged that at Railway Street he damaged both wing mirrors of a 261-registered Volvo, two wing mirrors and wipers of a 201-registered Renault Kangoo, one wing mirror of a 181-registered Skoda Octavia, and two wing mirrors from a 10-registered Renault Megane.
At Kings Terrace, Lower Glanmire Road, he is charged with damaging two wing mirrors of an 08-registered BMW and two wing mirrors of an 11-registered Chevrolet Camero.
Finally, he is charged with causing criminal damage to two trees belonging to Cork City Council at Mary Elmes Bridge, also on June 16.
Judge John King granted bail on the application of solicitor Eddie Burke.
On the application of Sergeant Aisling Murphy, the case was adjourned until June 24 for DPP directions.
Bail conditions require the accused to sign daily at Anglesea Street garda station, abstain from intoxicants or any offending, provide gardaí with a mobile number at which he is contactable at all times, and to remain out of anywhere in Cork city north of the River Lee.
