The annual sporting event, at Munster Technological University (MTU), will take place from 9.30am until 5pm.
On the day, motorists should expect heavy traffic in the general Bishopstown area as a result of the event.
Extended delays are also expected at the Bandon Road roundabout, with those attending and dropping off in the vicinty of MTU asked to cooperate with gardaí and stewards and to park only in designated areas.
Organisers of the event have also said that a park and ride facility will operate throughout the day from the Curraheen Greyhound Stadium to the Le Chéile Building at MTU, approximately five minutes from the event pitches.
The Cork Primary Schools' Sports event was founded in 1924 by a group of teachers from Cork city schools and has been held every year since, except during war times.
Children participating in the event will run in a series of relays and sprint races, with prizes presented and distributed to winners after each race in the marquee area.
