A book of evidence is to be prepared in the case against a man accused of making a false report to gardaí that a crime had been committed.

Judge Mary Dorgan adjourned the case until May 26 for that purpose.

38-year-old Don Duggan of 19C Newton Avenue, Boherboy Road, Mayfield, Cork, is charged that on September 24 2024 at Ballinderry Park, Mayfield, he knowingly made a false report tending to show that an offence had been committed.

Shane Collins Daly, solicitor, said no signed plea of guilty would be entered and that a book of evidence would be required.
