One to watch: Cork actor Éanna Hardwicke makes Forbes ‘30 under 30’ list

Cork actor Éanna Hardwicke is one of a number of Irish people to land a slot on the prestigious Forbes ‘30 under 30’.

Now in its 10th year, the list includes leading young innovators, entrepreneurs, and leaders from across Europe.

Born in Cork city, Mr Hardwicke made his debut as a child actor in the 2009 horror, The Eclipse.

In 2024, he followed Best Actor awards from the Royal Television Society and the Irish Academy for his chilling performance in the BBC’s The Sixth Commandment, with a Bafta nomination that placed him among the industry’s most exciting leading men. He won his second Irish Film and Television Awards gong for his portrayal as a young Roy Keane in the film Saipan.

He is one of several young Irish people on this year’s list, among them fellow actor Hazel Doupe, The Smooth Company founder Aine Kennedy, Oatco founder Laura Murphy, and content producer Áine Murphy.

Also on the list are Aghogho Okpara for Achieve with Aghogho; Billy O’Hora, director of relationships for the ATP Tour; Jack Cregan, founder of Paymend; Origenity founder Donnacha Fitzgerald, and Rachel Beatty, a lecturer at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland.
