Uisce Éireann said it recommended that the public should allow two to three hours after the estimated restoration time for water supply to fully return.

Parts of Cork city’s northside may suffer overnight water supply disruptions early next week, Uisce Éireann has warned.

The water utility company said leak detection works are scheduled to begin at 11.30pm on Monday night, running until 5.30am the following morning, April 14.

Uisce Éireann warned that the works, which are part of its National Leakage Reduction Programme, are likely to cause some disruption to local water supplies in The Glen and surrounding areas.

According to the company, the works, which are part of its National Leakage Reduction Programme, may cause overnight supply disruptions to Mangerton Close, Glen Avenue, Glentrasna Drive, Glentrasna Hill, Glentrasna Avenue, Glentrasna Court, Thomas Kent Park, Comeragh Park, Avoca Crescent, Imaal Court, Coolamber Drive, Coolamber Park, Comeragh Close, Brandon Crescent, Brandon Court, Mourne Avenue, The Glen and surrounding areas in Cork city.
