Several family-friendly Easter bunny trails and events are set to take place across Cork this month and next.

As we approach Easter Sunday on April 5, a number of amenities across the city and county have announced events aimed at children between now and the holiday weekend.

Among them is Joe’s Farm in Killeagh, which will host its Easter Trail event for the second year in a row from March 28 to April 4.

The trail will be open to visitors across four days and will see guests explore the farm on a set route and meet the Easter bunny.

Visitors will also receive a map and a stamp card, which can be marked at different locations to earn an Easter egg.

Joe Burns, owner of Joe’s Farm, said the Easter Trail was so popular last year they decided to do it again this year.

“It’s a delight to see so many people coming to our farm to enjoy the great outdoors and learn about farming,” he said.

Other Easter events include the annual Fota House Easter trail from April 3 to 6, which features a self-guided tour around the Arboretum and Victorian Working Garden.

Throughout the trail, live actors will play characters from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and will assist children with egg hunts and puzzles.

Each participating child will also receive an Easter egg at the end of the hunt.

The Easter Bunny Trail at Cork City Gaol will also return this year from April 4 to 10, where visitors will embark on a self-guided tour of the facility — tasked with locating a number of hidden bunnies to win a treat.
