Cork has an extra lottery millionaire this week after a lucky punter won €1,000,500 in Saturday’s Lotto Plus raffle.

The National Lottery was unable to offer a more specific address in the largest county, but one Corkonian enjoyed a good Saturday night after purchasing their winning ticket online.

The winning number was 1725, and the new millionaire is the fourth person to win more than €1m on the Lotto so far this year.

Two players in Kildare and Galway matched five numbers and the bonus in the main draw to win €42,191 each.

Saturday night's winning numbers were: 03, 05, 31, 37, 42, 46 and the bonus was 17.

The biggest winners from Saturday night’s draw are advised to contact the National Lottery prize claims team on 1800 666222 or email claims@lottery.ie and arrangements will be made for them to collect their prizes in Lottery Headquarters.

Nearly 30c in every €1 spent on the National Lottery goes back to good causes in the areas of sport, youth, health, welfare, education, arts, heritage and the Irish language.

In total, more than €6.5bn has been raised for good causes since the National Lottery was established 37 years ago. In 2024 alone, €239.3m was raised for local good causes in communities across Ireland.

The National Lottery advises participants to gamble responsibly.
