A man with chronic cocaine and heroin addictions over the past 20 years had sentencing adjourned until March 5 in a case where he carried out a burglary at Greenmount in Cork.
David O’Sullivan, aged 39, of 10 Dunmanus Park, Knocknaheeny, Cork, signed a plea of guilty to the crime and appeared for sentencing at Cork Circuit Criminal Court.
However, a probation report that was directed in the case was incomplete and the defendant’s barrister asked for sentencing to be adjourned.
David O’Sullivan admitted carrying out the burglary on May 10 at a house at Mount Sion Road, Greenmount, Cork.
Cash and a laptop were taken during the burglary.
Ms Kelleher, barrister, said the defendant had a chronic addiction to cocaine and heroin over the past 20 years.
Judge Helen Boyle acceded to this application to adjourn sentencing until March 5.
