Free crépes will be available to customers on a first-come, first-served basis from 9am to 12pm on Tuesday across all 29 Gino’s Gelato stores nationwide.

Cork-based chain, Gino’s Gelato, has announced the return of its annual Pancake Tuesday tradition, seeing thousands of customers receiving free crépes across Ireland, including in Cork.

The chain, which has four stores across the city, announced the return of the giveaway initiative this week, with an option to donate to the Children's Health Foundation.

Free crépes will be available to customers on a first-come, first-served basis from 9am to 12pm on Tuesday across all 29 Gino’s Gelato stores nationwide, including, in Cork, at its Paul St, Oliver Plunkett St, Patrick's St, and Wilton Shopping Centre locations.

Customers who want to upgrade their crépe on the day can donate €2 to add Nutella for just €2, with 100% of proceeds going directly to the Children's Health Foundation.

CHARITY

The Children’s Health Foundation is a Dublin-based charity that raises vital funds to support sick children and their families in Children’s Health Ireland hospitals and urgent care centres at Crumlin, Temple Street, Tallaght, and Connolly.

All monies raised in aid of the Children’s Health Foundation charity will go toward funding vital life-saving equipment, providing essential patient and parental support, and ground-breaking paediatric research.

Jonathan Kirwan, founder of Gino's Gelato said the company is expecting a “record turnout” this year, with members of the public across Cork advised to arrive early on the day as the annual giveaway draws large crowds each year.

"Pancake Tuesday has become one of the highlights of our year,” said Mr Kirwan.

“We love being able to give back to the community while supporting such an important cause," he said.
