Cancer Connect is calling on people across Cork to “pour a cup of kindness” this February bank holiday weekend to support its fundraising campaign.

The campaign, A Cup of Kindness Tea Party, takes place from January 30 to February 2, and comes as Cancer Connect faces rising operational costs.

The medical transport service charity, which facilitated more than 8,000 journeys to Cork hospitals and treatment centres in 2025, is calling on the public to help them keep their growing fleet of cars and people carriers on the road by hosting their own tea party.

A spokesperson said their mission is to provide dependable, stress-free transport for cancer patients throughout Cork.

“We need your help to keep us going,” they said.

All registered events will receive a free box of tea from sponsors Barry’s Tea and a host information pack.

People seeking to participate are asked to register their event by January 16 online via cancerconnect.ie.
