Mahon’s Nagle Community College has announced that Scott Clinton has been selected as the overall winner of the Rotary Youth Leadership Competition.

The fifth year student, who will be one of 24 students nationwide to go on a five-day trip to the European Parliament in Strasbourg in February, was announced as the winner at a recent awards ceremony.

As part of the trip, students will debate, amend, vote, and adopt European issues in the EU Parliament.

The Rotary Ireland Youth Leadership Development Competition, in conjunction with Euroscola, is one of the longest running youth projects in Ireland that rewards young people who have shown leadership potential.
