Cork pupils brush up for art calendar glory

Two Cork students have seen their artworks chosen to feature on the 2026 Texaco Children’s Art Competition Calendar.

Kanderstag-24, by 14-year-old Emma Fenny, from Carrigaline Community School, features for the month of April.

Beneath The Blue, Love Floats Too, by seven-year-old Krishavraj Karthikeyan, from Gaelscoil Mhachan in Mahon, has been chosen for the month of September.

The pupils, who were both special merit award winners in this year’s 71st competition, saw their artworks commended by the adjudication panel as “demonstrating high levels of skill and creativity”.
