A status yellow rain warning is in place for Cork and Kerry today.

It came into effect from 9am this morning and will remain in place until 9am tomorrow morning, Saturday.

Met Éireann is warning of localised flooding, poor visibility an difficult travelling conditions.

There may be some rainfall accumulations from heavy showers or longer spells of rain.
