Ballinspittle Comhaltas U12 Céilí Band - seen here with their teachers Áine Teape and Diarmuid Ward - are set to feature on Friday night's The Late Late Toy Show.

It’s the most sugar-fuelled night of the year, and this Friday a talented group of young, traditional Co Cork musicians will strike a high note on The Late Late Toy Show.

The members of the Ballinspittle Comhaltas U12 céilí band are already All-Ireland champions and now they are set to shine on the national stage for one of the most viewed shows of the year.

Their upcoming performance promises to bring a burst of youthful energy to the Toy Show stage.

The band features Ava O’Donoghue and Shannon Galvin on flute, Conor O’Ríordáin, Grace Kennedy, and Alannah Walsh on fiddle, Síofra O’Sullivan on concertina, Ellie Kennedy on button accordion, Diarmuid O’Sullivan on céilí drums, Muirne Collins on piano and harp, and Aaronn O’Sullivan on banjo.

Diarmuid Ward and Áine Teape, the band’s dedicated music teachers, said they were proud of what the young musicians have already achieved.

“Their commitment, teamwork, and love for traditional Irish music have been inspiring to witness and support,” they said.

“This opportunity is a testament to their hard work and passion.”

The Late Late Toy Show will air on Friday, December 5, at 9:35 pm on RTÉ One and RTÉ Player.

For the first time on RTÉ, audio description will be available live during The Late Late Toy Show. Live Irish Sign Language (ISL) interpretation will be available on the RTÉ News Channel and on RTÉ Player.

The show will also be repeated on RTÉ One on Sunday, December 7, at 3.10pm with audio description.
