Neil Young and the Chrome Hearts are set to play in Cork next summer, in a double bill that will also feature Elvis Costello.

The veteran Canadian rocker, who last week turned 80, will play Musgrave Park (Virgin Media Park) on July 1, 2026, sharing the ticket with London-born Declan Patrick MacManus, 71, who trades as Elvis Costello.

Neil Young last played Cork in 2014 at Live at the Marquee, while Elvis Costello played the Marquee the year before.

The Chrome Hearts supported Neil Young at last year’s Malahide Castle gig, where fans were wowed by blistering versions of old favourites, including Rockin' In The Free WorldThe Needle and The Damage Done, and Like a Hurricane.

Elvis Costello first played Cork at the 1981 Macroom Mountain Dew Festival, and memorably joined the Pogues in Sir Henry’s in 1986.

Messrs Young and Costello join a summer roster that will also see CMAT, The Lumineers, Amble, and Kingfishr play the Ballyphehane venue.

Meanwhile, over at the Marquee, Paul Weller, David Gray, and Christy Moore are currently topping the bill, in what looks set to be a summer of superb music Leeside.

Tickets for the July 1 gig will cost €89.90 to €99.90, plus booking fees and will go on general sale at 9am on Friday, November 28.

Pre-sale tickets will be available Monday, November 24, to members of the Neil Young Archives.

Pre-sale tickets will be available to Mastercard cardholders on Wednesday, November 26, and to those registered with promoters MCD on Thursday.
