Musical night in Ringaskiddy

The Carrigaline Musical Society will host a gala concert in the Ringaskiddy Community Hall on November 15 and 16. Billed as an evening of musical theatre songs, the concert will feature hits from Les Miserables, South Pacific, Phantom of the Opera, and many more.

Be Active Be Well programme

Are you feeling inactive, lacking motivation, but ready to make a positive lifestyle change?

The HSE Be Active Be Well programme is coming to the Carrigaline Primary Care Centre starting Wednesday, November 12, 2025.

It will run from 10.30am to 12.30pm, once a week, for four weeks. A fifth session will take place in January.

A spokesperson said the programme offers “low-intensity activities that are easy to enjoy, and a chance to connect with others in a supportive environment”.

“Past participants have raved about how accessible and enjoyable the programme is. You must be able to participate independently.”

Coffee morning for RNLI

The RNLI Annual Coffee Morning for Crosshaven RNLI will take place at the Royal Cork Yacht Club on Saturday, November 1, from 10am to noon.

“Join us for coffee/tea, cakes, and much more. Monster raffle, Christmas cards, and merchandise shop open all day,” said a spokesperson.

Tidy Towns awards night

The Carrigaline Tidy Towns awards night will be held in the Carrigaline Court Hotel on Thursday, November 27, at 8pm.

Tidy Towns received a grant to paint a number of premises on Main St. A plan is being put in place to identify and name the trees in the woodland in Waterpark.

Information signs are to be erected by the Joe West sculpture on the Ballea Rd and another by the erratic boulder on Mill Rd.

Confirmation dates

Bishop Fintan Gavin has announced arrangements for the celebration of the sacrament of Confirmation for 2026.

He added that he hopes to visit a significant number of parishes himself for the Confirmation celebrations next year as well as delegating some retired bishops, the vicars general, and a number of other priests when more than one parish is celebrating the sacrament on the same day. The arrangements are as follows:

  • Friday, February 13, Monkstown, Shanbally NS;
  • Friday, February 27, Monkstown, Ringaskiddy/Lower Harbour NS;
  • Tuesday, March 3, Crosshaven, Crosshaven BNS, Scoil Bhríde, Crosshaven;
  • Wednesday, March 4, Passage West, Star of the Sea NS;
  • Tuesday, March 10, Carrigaline, Gaelscoil Charraig Uí Leighin;
  • Wednesday, March 11, Carrigaline, Holy Well NS;
  • Saturday, April 25, Carrigaline, Creid Group.
