Two taken to hospital following incident on Cork city's Patrick St

Two men have been taken to hospital following an incident in Cork city centre today.

Gardaí and emergency services attended the scene of an alleged incident of assault that occurred at an apartment on Patrick Street in Cork city this afternoon.

A Garda spokesperson told The Echo:

“A male was conveyed to Cork University Hospital for the treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

“A second male was conveyed to Cork University Hospital for the treatment of non-life threatening injuries after attending Bridewell Garda Station following the incident.” 

The spokesperson added that investigations are ongoing and that Gardaí are appealing to any witnesses to the incident to contact them at Anglesea Street Garda Station on 021 4522000, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111, or any Garda Station.
