Uisce Éireann warned that there is likely to be some disruption to local water supplies as a result of the works.

Parts of Cork city’s northside may suffer overnight water supply disruptions later this month, Uisce Éireann has warned.

The water utility company said new connection works are scheduled to begin on Wednesday night, September 24, starting at 10.30pm and will run until 2.30am on Thursday, September 25.

Uisce Éireann warned that there is likely to be some disruption to local water supplies as a result of the works.

According to the company, the works, which are part of its National Leakage Reduction Programme, may cause supply disruptions to Grove House, Monastery Ave, St Mary’s Health Campus, Monastery Terrace, Presentation Brothers, Saint Joseph, Orrery Rd, Presentation Rd, Mount Eden Rd, Cathedral Rd, Baker’s Rd, Templeacre Ave, Chapel Field, St Colmcille’s Rd, Ascension Heights, Churchfield Ave, Churchfield Way, Churchfield Place, Churchfield Hill, Churchfield Green, Bantry Park Rd, Coppingers Acre, Gurranabraher and surrounding areas in Cork city.

A traffic management plan will be in place for the duration of the works.

Uisce Éireann said it recommended that the public should allow two to three hours after the estimated restoration time for water supply to fully return.

To access updates on these works, the public is invited to visit the Uisce Éireann website, water.ie, and enter in the search bar the reference: CCI00098460.
