Gardaí in Cork appeal for witnesses after woman dies in road traffic collision

The road remains closed, to facilitate technical examination by garda forensic collision investigators.

Gardaí in Cork are appealing for witnesses after an woman in her 60s died in a fatal single vehicle road traffic collision in Glanmire on Monday afternoon.

The collision occurred in the Dunkettle Ballinglanna area of Glanmire, close to the Glashaboy water treatment plant, at approximately 1.50pm on Monday.

The driver, a woman in her 60s, was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The road remains closed, to facilitate technical examination by garda forensic collision investigators.

Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed this collision to contact them.

Any road users who may have camera footage, including dash-cam, and were travelling in the area between 1.30 pm and 2.10 pm this afternoon are asked to make this footage available to investigating gardaí.
