A Cork-based company has announced the official launch of a new high-powered laser clinic for the treatment of chronic pain conditions.

The clinic, opened by Laser Medical in Ballincollig, is the first of its kind in Munster.

The clinic will be doctor- and physiotherapist-led, providing treatment for arthritis and joint pain, tendonitis and muscle strains, post-surgical recovery, back and neck pain, sports-related injuries, and women’s health.

Laser Medical is led by physiotherapist Shane Hennessy who said there is a “significant gap” in the Irish healthcare system for people suffering with chronic pain or recurring sports injuries.

“We wanted to bring something completely new to Ireland, a safe, clinically proven treatment that’s fast, painless, and effective,” said Mr Hennessy.

Unlike traditional methods, laser therapy accelerates cellular repair at a deep level, reduces inflammation, and stimulates circulation, with no side effects.
