Driver fined for having green diesel in car in West Cork

The markers added to marked gas oil produce a green colour and it is illegal to use it in road vehicles - offenders can face up to €5,000 in fines.
Driver fined for having green diesel in car in West Cork

Revenue markers are added to marked gas oil in order to distinguish between the standard tax rate of auto fuel (road diesel) and the reduced tax rates of these products.
