Pat and Faye Shortt will be performing in Macroom, Fermoy, Youghal and Bantry, over the coming months.

Comedian Pat Shortt and his daughter, Faye, will be performing at the Briery Gap in Macroom on October 17, as part of their upcoming tour.

After a tour of Australia/New Zealand, in locations such as Sydney and Perth, the Irish comedy duo will tour Ireland with their new show, Shortt Stuff.

Shortt, who lives in Limerick, made his entrance to the entertainment world as a co-creator with Jon Kenny of D’Unbelieveables, one of Ireland’s biggest-selling comedy duos.

In 2002, Shortt, who is also a writer and producer, went solo, creating the hit show Killinaskully for RTÉ, which drew 500,000 to 700,000 viewers each week and also topped one million viewers for a Christmas special.

Faye Shortt initially studied at the Gaiety School of Acting and The National Theatre School of Ireland.

In 2019, she graduated from the Gaiety and went on to train at Bow Street Academy of Screen Acting.

There, Ms Shortt was taught by the acting coach Gerry Grynell, who has trained actors such as Heath Ledger, Johnny Depp, and Timothée Chalamet.

In 2020, she graduated from Bow Street and went on to co-create sketches for social media, alongside her father.

Pat and Faye Shortt’s show at the Briery Gap in Macroom will commence at 8pm on October 17.

Tickets cost €32 and are now available on sale at: https://www.brierygap.ie/events/shortt-stuff. A day later, on October 18, Pat and Faye Shortt will be performing at the Palace Theatre in Fermoy.

There are also further Cork dates on the tour — on October 25, they will be performing at the Youghal Town Hall Theatre, and on November 8 they will be in Bantry at the West Lodge Hotel.
