The Cork senior footballers are among those supporting the ‘Cycle for Seanie’ fundraiser.

The Cork Senior Footballers are among those supporting a fundraising cycle in memory of Sean Cremin who passed away with leukemia last year.

On July 5, Cycle for Seanie will see a group of his close family and friends take on the challenge of completing the 170km long Ring of Kerry.

Mr Cremin is the brother-in-law of the current Cork Senior Footballer Sean Meehan.

Speaking ahead of the event, a spokesperson for the Cycle for Seanie Fundraiser said:

“The funds that we raise will be split equally between Cork University Hospital and St James Hospital in Dublin. The care and support that Sean received in both of these hospitals was second to none, so any donation would be greatly appreciated.

"This is a journey that represents both the physical and emotional strength Sean embodied. We re doing this not just to remember Sean, but to give back to those who helped him during his fight.

“Together lets raise as much money as possible in Sean's honour and help two outstanding hospitals continue caring for those in need.” For further information or to make a donation visit:  https://www.idonate.ie/crowdfunder/CycleForSeanie
