Man due in court this morning after cocaine seized in Passage West

The man will appear in court this morning.

Gardaí from the Cork City Division have conducted a search under warrant at a domestic residence in Passage West as part of ongoing operations targeting the sale and supply of drugs in Cork city on Sunday, 18 May.

During the search Gardaí seized approximately €80,000 worth of suspected cocaine, two improvised firearms, ammunition and a number of other items. The drugs seized will be forwarded to Forensic Science Ireland (FSI) for analysis.

A man in his 50s was arrested and conveyed to a garda station in Cork city. He has since been charged and is due to appear in front of the Cork District Court this morning, Thursday 22 May at 10:30 am.
