A new food vendor is set to join Cork’s Marina Market next month.

The new stall, entitled Just Wing It, is the latest venture from the team behind MKT Burger, which first opened at the Marina Market in 2021.

The new vendor, set up by Alan Clancy, Chris Curtin, and Laurence Kinlan, will offer customers at the facility a taste of traditional chicken wings and chips, as well as some reimagined recipes, putting an imaginative spin on the conventional dish.

Speaking to The Echo, Mr Kinlan said that the team was eager to bring a new “comfort food” to patrons at the Marina Market.

“We’re absolutely delighted to bring our latest venture, Just Wing It, to the vibrant Marina Market in Cork,” he said.

“After the incredible response to MKT Burger, which we opened four years ago, we knew it was the time to launch something new and special.

“Just Wing It is a combination of my love for chicken wings and my outlook on life, live every day as it comes,” he added.

The menu was crafted by Mr Kinlan and Mr Curtin, who is the former head chef at the Oyster Tavern.

“It’s a celebration of bold, exciting flavours, with something to suit every wing lover out there.

“With my passion for food and Chris’s culinary expertise, we’ve created a menu that will suit everyone — we hope.

“Alan, Chris, and I wanted to build on the success of MKT Burger and bring a different kind of comfort food to the market, while keeping quality and creativity at the heart of everything we do.

“We’ve worked on this for well over a year now and we’ve had a blast brainstorming and putting it together and can’t wait to finally get open.”

Just Wing It is set to open at the Marina Market in June and will be available seven days a week from 12pm to 8pm.
