University College Cork speaker series to shine spotlight on AI

The topic of AI will be on the agenda on May 6 as part of the UCC Global Speaker Series.

AI: The Unstoppable Force Redefining the Future of Business will see Conor Twomey and Professor Thia Hennessy in conversation with Graham Healy at the Western Gateway Building, UCC, from 6-7pm.

Mr Twomey is co-founder and CEO of AI One, a technology firm based in New York and focused on helping large organisations to use AI to simplify their operations.

Prof Hennessy is the head of the College of Business and Law at UCC. 

She has published numerous articles on the economic performance of the agri-food sector, and is a regularly invited expert to policy-making bodies such as the European Parliament and the OECD.

Mr Healy is a consulting partner at Deloitte, where he leads its cloud and engineering practice in Ireland.

He is on the board of the Insight Centre for Data Analytics, the University College Cork Sports Leadership Group, and the University College Cork Business Information Systems Advisory Board.

The event is free and all are welcome. Advance registration is essential. The event will take place in person and online.
