Singer Jake Carter is coming to perform at the Briery Gap in Macroom on June 29.

As part of his Point of You tour, singer Jake Carter is coming to perform at the Briery Gap in Macroom on June 29.

The younger brother of country music singer Nathan Carter will be joined on the night by support act, Macroom native Aimee Twomey.

Jake Carter commenced his own music career in 2017 with the release of his debut single, Trouble, which gained significant airplay on Irish country music radio stations.

He followed this up with the EP Three Things, which featured tracks such as Just Wanna Kiss You and Fallin’ for You.

In 2024, Mr Carter released another EP titled Point of You, which includes tracks such as Milk and Honey and Loved Me Like You Do.

Speaking about his most recent EP Mr Carter said: “The EP is a collection of my favourite songs that I have wrote over the last few years with a mixture of Irish singer-songwriters.

“If I was to describe the sound of this album, it would be a mixture of acts like McFly and Take That — acts that I loved listening to growing up, mixed with the current pop sounds of the like of Tom Grennan and Harry Styles”.

Mr Carter also appeared on the second series of the Irish edition of Dancing with the Stars on RTÉ One in 2018.

This was a competition which he won with his professional dance partner Karen Byrne, with a romantic relationship since developing between the pair.

Jake Carter live at the Briery Gap will commence at 7.30pm on June 29.
