Cork city is set to be largely dry for the St Patrick’s Day parade tomorrow, though there is a possibility of some showers in the afternoon.

Met Éireann has said said that while there may be some light showers between 11am and 2pm, the weather will remain cloudy and relatively cool but dry for most of the day.

Patches of sunshine are expected early in the morning and then again from around 4pm until sunset at 7pm.

Similar conditions are expected across Munster.

“St Patrick's Day will be a largely cool and cloudy day with well scattered showers and the occasional sunny spell. Highest temperatures of 7 to 10 degrees in light to moderate east to southeast winds," said a Met Éireann spokesperson.

Looking ahead to the rest of the week, the national forecaster predicted the weather will stay settled and generally dry with spells of sunshine until Friday across Ireland.

The weather will turn unsettled for Friday and the weekend with nearby low pressure bringing spells of rain and breezy conditions.
