Cork motorist exceeds roadside breath test by more than 80mg

A motorist was arrested in Cork yesterday for exceeding a roadside breath test by more than 80mg.

Gardaí in Bandon were conducting a Mandatory Intoxicant Testing checkpoint at 4pm, where a driver failed the roadside breathalyser.

The concentration of alcohol found in the driver’s breath amounted to 108mg per every 100ml of breath.

The passing concentration for a roadside breath test is 22mg.

The driver was subsequently arrested and charged to appear court.
