Man, 60s, dies in single vehicle incident in West Cork
The road at Gortnamucklagh in West Cork was closed overnight but reopened at 11am this morning.
A man in his 60s has died following a single vehicle incident on a West Cork road yesterday evening.
The man reportedly suffered a medical emergency, and was pronounced deceased at the scene by emergency services then removed to CUH.
The road, in Dunmanway, remained closed overnight but reopened at 11am this morning.
A Garda spokesperson told The Echo: “Gardaí assisted emergency services at the scene of a medical emergency at Gortnamucklagh, Dunmanway, Co. Cork shortly after 6:35pm on Saturday, 1st February 2025.
“A man (aged in his 60s) was pronounced deceased at the scene a short time later. His body has been removed to Cork University Hospital. A file will be prepared for the coroner.”
