Waterman Tecsar Engineering Alliance has announced the creation of 100 jobs after the firm opened a Cork-based office last month.
The roles, which are part of a major expansion of the company’s Irish operations, will see the new employees hired over the next three years, with 25 positions already filled at its new location off the Bandon Rd Roundabout.
The jobs will be in a range of engineering fields, including process piping, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and civil structural engineering.
Waterman Tecsar Engineering Alliance was established last year after two companies, Tecsar Engineering Inc, a Canadian firm, and Waterman Consulting Engineers, a Cork company, came together to form a plan to expand into Europe together.
Conor MacSweeney, business lead at Waterman Tecsar Engineering Alliance, said: “My parents were born and raised in Cork, moved to Canada, and started Tecsar Engineering 45 years ago. We wanted to return to their roots and were really excited when an opportunity for this alliance arose.
“Both companies shared the same principles of client first, with preparation being key to the success of every project we undertake. I am looking forward to expanding our services —the Irish industrial market needs additional quality engineering options and we are prepared to service it.”
Waterman Tecsar Engineering Alliance is a multi-disciplinary firm that offers a wide array of services designed to meet the unique needs of sectors such as chemicals, pharmaceutical, food and beverage, and refinery. Its project development and implementation solutions encompass all phases of a project, from initial idea through various gates to implementation, construction, and commissioning. Clients include Basf, DuPont, Dow, Cork Plastics, Shell, Ineos Styrolution, and Nova Chemicals.
