Part of Cork City's Half Moon Street has been cordoned off this morning as Gardaí investigate a burglary at a retail premises last night.

It is understood that the incident occurred at a clothing store.

A Garda spokesperson told The Echo this morning: 

"Gardaí are investigating a burglary of a retail premises on Half Moon Street, Cork City which occurred late yesterday evening, 28th January 2025.

"The scene is currently held for technical examination.

"Investigations are ongoing."
