The man operating the e-bike was taken to Cork University Hospital for medical treatment.

A man has been taken to hospital following a collision in Cork city centre last night.

Gardaí and emergency services attended the scene of the collision, which occurred on Washington Street, at approximately 7.50pm.

The incident involved a single car and an e-bike.

The man operating the e-bike, who is in his 30s, was brought to Cork University Hospital to be treated for what are believed to be non life-threatening injuries.

A spokesperson for An Garda Síochána confirmed that there were no other injuries reported in relation to this incident.

Investigations into the collision are ongoing.
