Motorists advised to expect delays following collision in Cork city

Gardaí are at the scene of a collision westbound on the N40 South Link Road between Bloomfield and Douglas, with motorists advised to exercise caution when approaching the area.

A garda spokesperson said motorists in the area can expect to experience delays as a result of the incident.
“Gardaí are on the scene at the moment and people can expect delays,” said the spokesperson. They advised motorists to avoid the area if possible.
“There is a car broken down on the off ramp at junction seven (westbound), which is not helping the situation,” they added.
