Wasps vs Humans to play two Cork gigs this spring

Punk poets Wasps Vs Humans will play two Cork gigs in the spring.

Cork indie musical duo and punk poets Wasps vs Humans have announced two upcoming gigs on home turf.

They will play five gigs this spring across Ireland, and will be teaming up with a number of underground artists, including Jinx Lennon, Captain Moonlight, and Julie Goo.

Their debut album, Scratchcard Empires, which was released last year, received glowing reviews across Irish media and the alt-punk/folk sound scene.

The album is a dark take on life’s expectations.

Audiences can expect an anarchic mix of drums, bodhrán, whistles, punk poetry, songs and beats, as well as singles, ‘20 million Andrew Tates’, ‘Price You Pay’, and ‘Ugly America’.

Wasps vs Humans will be playing two shows in Cork: In Ballydehob at Levi’s Corner on March 15, featuring Julie Goo; and at Cork city’s Winthrop Avenue on April 4, featuring Jinx Lennon.

  • Tickets can be purchased in advance via Eventbrite or via the venues’ dedicated websites.
