The Boomtown Rats will play in Cork on June 21 from 2pm at Virgin Media Park as part of the Rewind 2025 festival.

One of Ireland’s most iconic and influential rock bands, The Boomtown Rats, will be coming to Cork for a one-night show as part of the Rewind 2025 festival.

The show will take place on June 21 at Virgin Media Park from 2pm.

Organisers have said that shows taking place as part of the 2025 lineup promise to be the ultimate throwback experience, featuring beloved names from the 80s and beyond.

Throughout the festival, each participating city will host a unique headliner, with Cork fans treated to a performance by the iconic Squeeze, and Dublin fans graced by the legendary Billy Ocean.

Also joining The Boomtown Rats in next year’s lineup are pop sensation Tiffany, Irish favourites Boyzlife, new wave star Toyah, charismatic crooner Matt Goss (Bros), and the ever-stylish ABC, as well as Something Happens, Jerry Fish and more.

Prior to their Cork showing, The Boomtown Rats will also perform at St Anne’s Park in Dublin on June 1.

Tickets for the Rewind festival in Cork are priced from €59.90 and are available now from Ticketmaster.ie.
