The power outage, affecting an estimated 1,353 homes in Kinsale, was reported just after 8pm.

1,353 customers are without power in Kinsale due to an ESB pole on fire in Kinsale near Meadowlands Featherbed Lane.

The fault was reported shortly after 8pm, with the company aiming to restore electricity soon – an estimated time of 9:15pm was given by ESB.

ESB told customers: “We apologise for the loss of supply. We are currently working to repair a fault affecting your premises and will restore power as quickly as possible.”
