A Cork woman travelled to the National Lottery's HQ in Dublin this afternoon to collect prize winnings of more than €56,000.

The Leesider claimed her prize of €56,625 after matching five numbers plus the bonus on Wednesday, October 23's Lotto draw.

The player, who purchased her winning ticket online, revealed how she plays the same numbers every week.

“I got the email that night after the draw, I couldn’t believe it.

“I’ve been playing the same numbers for years, and this is the most I've ever won.

“It will be so nice to treat my family with Christmas coming up, and I might even splurge on a new handbag or holiday away somewhere for myself too,” she said.
