Head of Meta Ireland and president of the Irish Business and Employers Confederation (Ibec), Anne O’Leary, was conferred with an honorary doctorate by UCC yesterday.
Recognised for her services to business and technology, charitable works, and for advancing the position of women in the workplace, Ms O’Leary, a native of Blackrock, is also a former chairwoman of Goal, past president of Dublin Chamber, and former CEO of Vodafone Ireland.
Ms O’Leary said:
“This accolade is not just a personal milestone but a testament to the collective efforts of those who have supported and inspired me throughout my career.”
She was presented with her honorary doctorate during UCC’s autumn conferrings, which will see thousands of students graduate before the final ceremony on November 11.
